Fuzzy leaves, tiny white flowers, sharp, spiky seeds that are really not fun to step on because the sharp spikes poke in different directions so it’s hard to get out. There are several kinds of barefoot bane and the author has no idea what the names of them are. Most are in the genera Plagiobothrys and Cryptantha.
